When I first saw these ( I think on fully charged) I thought how amazing they would be as a camper. Not that I’d ever have the time/inclination to convert one or that my wife would want to go camping - but a man can dream!!

This reminds me of the DeLorean, where the remaining stock was bought by a handful of companies up to the current DeLorean company that keeps stock of the remaining parts as well as make new parts from the technical drawings they also acquired. Sad that Arrival never made it to full production.

These start ups must be intentional money pits aka rip offs... To me I see a huge scam here... this looks like a total scam of a company... What a damn waste.

I like your work on the conversion. Don’t want to be an armchair mechanic here but have you thought about using some kind of captive nut. Even a decent (not aluminium) rivnut (or nursert depending on what you know them as). A good rule of thumb is you should never need two people to undo a bolt. Also ideally some kind of gasket/sealant would be a good idea for that area. But keep up the good work guys.

damn... i was so happy to see Arrival news via youtube and second later i was sad... they had so much potential... they could have sold a lot of their tech to others to keep them at float... the panels, the micro/local fabrication, just general automation... but here we are sad..

This looks a fantastically well developed kit for the Mini. I know that they do not like any modifications to the shell, but couldn't the 12v battery box be deleted to allow the rear traction battery modules to be fitted under the boot floor? The original (12v battery box) panel is easily sourced from suppliers, as they often rot out, so retro fitting one if needed in the future would be easy enough. And a smaller/lighter lithium or sodium iron 12v could be placed elsewhere in the Mini boot? I'm just asking as you seem to have thought of everything and you have probably looked into the pros and cons of this?

The frame behind the roll cage looks like it's made to hold a test pay load inside the van for trials. You can quickly load it up with something like concrete blocks up to and beyond the GVW for that Van, and it'll hold it firmly in place while you go round a track or do the Elk Test. There are different levels available to raise the CoG on the load and see how that affects body roll and stability. I'm surprised it's not fully fork-lift accessible, (Edit - looks like the cross-brace section can be removed to slide the load in from the back, then replaced, and I should have watched to the end of the video before commenting, shouldn't I!) The roll cage is there to protect the crew in the event that it does roll over, given they are deliberately trying to get wheels off the ground.

Hi I felt so so bad for the company Arrival watched them for years . And had so much faith in there product that would change part of the ev world 🌍 I Thankyou for your great video watching it did make me very very sad and and felt physically sick . Such a totall waist I am very sad indeed I woad thinking of actually converting one of these special pieces of history into a special one off #Bespoke electric campervan But seeing one on eBay way way over any budget I have this is one in a million van I love them .. 🥹😔 I Thankyou again for showing this good but very sad video wish you all the best Arrival will always live on but like my old campervan I built . Do her proud .. Ps this is Disgusting that a company that had so so much potential actually was allowed to go into Receivership . I guarantee that if all the ev lovers out there would of bought a stake in the company and then it wouldn’t of gone anywhere … just the road . I have a little fab idear …..
